Terminal can handle a wide variety of crypto and wallet related queries. Start by trying some simple commands such as "What is my wallet balance?" and "Can you show me my wallet history?" Terminal can also handle more complex commands, though its stability and performance may vary during Beta. Examples of more complex commands include "Swap 1 BTC for 20 ETH using Uniswap", "What are the top performing tokens today?", and "Bridge 5 ETH from Ethereum Mainnet to Binance Smart Chain”.

After two years of development, Terminal entered Alpha testing in Q4 of 2024 under the name “bitGPT Chat”. After tens of thousands of interactions from both the community and internal team — which provided heavy training for the model plus feedback and debugging opportunities for both the UI and UX — the platform officially transitioned to the Beta stage in Q1 of 2025 under its new name: Terminal. Our team is actively improving Terminal on an hourly basis, and the Beta designation denotes that certain features may be turned on or off during usage for engineering or design work. So while all of Terminal’s features may not be functional at any given time, we encourage you to experiment over different days or weeks.

As the first application to ride on the BitGPT Network, Terminal allows users unprecedented ability to access and transfer crypto funds, distill large datasets into actionable trading insights, execute complex cross-chain transactions, and much more all using natural language commands. With BitGPT as the underlying network layer, all Terminal interactions benefit from privacy-preserving proxy layers, zero-knowledge proofs, blind training protocols, and other critical security and privacy mechanisms that ensure data sovereignty by default, as well as interoperable access to a growing ecosystem of AI Agents to facilitate and execute commands.

All actions, including sending or swapping tokens, checking balances, or executing other transactions, require explicit confirmation through MetaMask, Rabby, or WalletConnect. You remain in full control of your wallet at all times. We currently only support Ethereum-like blockchains. Because MetaMask, Rabby, and WalletConnect prompts you to review and confirm each request, there is minimal risk of unauthorized or incorrect transactions. Always verify the details presented before proceeding.

Terminal shouldn’t have issues interpreting commands with small typos, and it can often understand an idea described in vague terms. But if Terminal is having issues, try correcting your typos or rephrasing the question. It is possible that certain features that you are trying to use are temporarily turned off during Beta, so we encourage you to experiment over time. For any transactions, Terminal will verify your commands and require additional confirmation, so typos or other errors do have a failsafe when it comes to sending or receiving funds.
